Vol. 38 No. 4

Written Answer. - Dáil Loan Register—Monaghan Application.

asked the Minister for Finance whether he will state if the name of Richard Quail, formerly of Listiller, and now of Comaghy, Killevan, Co. Monaghan, appears on the Dáil Loan Register; and whether he will state (if Richard Quail's name is not registered) if it is his intention to have the name placed on the Supplementary Register; and if the evidence is not sufficiently definite to justify the latter course, whether he will indicate the nature of the evidence that would be required.

The Primary Register of Subscribers to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan, 1919-20, does not contain an entry in the name of Richard Quail of Listiller (now of Comaghy, Killevan, Co. Monaghan).

With regard to the second and third parts of the question my Department is making inquiries and the question of entering Mr. Quail's name in the Register of Subscribers, which is being prepared in accordance with the terms of Section 4 (1) of the Dáil Eireann Loans and Funds Act, 1924, will be considered if a satisfactory explanation is furnished of a discrepancy between the particulars given in his application and those in the records in my Department.
