Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - De-rating Commissioners' Salaries and Expenses.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state the salary and cost of living bonus of each of the following members of the De-rating Commission:— Mr. John Leydon, Department of Finance; Mr. T.J. Flynn, Department of Industry and Commerce; Mr. James M. Adams, Department of Agriculture; Mr. J. Collins, Department of Local Government and Public Health; and Mr. J.C. Gregg, General Valuation and Boundary Survey Department.

asked the Minister for Finance to state the salary and expenses of Judge Cahir Davitt, Chairman of the De-rating Commission.

asked the Minister for Finance to state the total amount paid in allowances, travelling expenses, etc., to the following members of the De-rating Commission:— Judge Cahir Davitt, Messrs. James M. Adams, J. Collins, T.J. Flynn, J.C. Gregg, John Leydon and George O'Brien, during the period of their services on that Commission.

I propose to take Questions 3, 4 and 5 together. The answer to No. 5 is nil. In regard to Questions 3 and 4 I do not see that any useful purpose would be served by supplying the information requested.

Does the Minister refuse to give the information requested?
