asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether he will state from official statistics available in his Department in each of the years 1926, 1927, 1928, 1929, 1930, and to June 1st, 1931 (a) the total quantity (cwts.) of bacon and hams, and value thereof, exported; (b) the total quantity (cwts.) and value of bacon and hams imported; (c) the number of live pigs exported; and (d) the quantity of bacon imported from U.S.A.

The following statement shows for each of the years 1926 to 1930, and for the four-months' period, January to April, 1931, the exports and imports of bacon and hams from and to An Saorstát, the exports of live pigs, and the imports of bacon consigned from the United States of America.

Statistics for May, 1931, are not yet available. The figures for imports from the United States of America include only the direct consignments from that country to An Saorstát.
