Vol. 40 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Repayment of Road Tax Rebate.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the cause of the dealy in repayment of Road Tax Rebate, and when the persons who have made payment without deduction and have claimed on proof for a refund can expect to recover the Rebate for each of the last three quarters already acknowledged and passed for payment.

The answer to the first part of the question is that no undue delay has taken place, and to the second part claims must be dealt with as far as possible according to priority of receipt.

Will the Minister say if any of these claims have been repaid at all?

What is the amount of the claims that have been repaid?

Probably about £11,000.
