Vol. 40 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - The Plainting on Forht Mountain.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is yet in a position to state when some planting will be done at Forth Mountain, Co. Wexford.

The application made to acquire compulsorily the rights, easements etc., that exist over that part of the lands of lands of Forth Mountain proposed to be used for State afterestation has been granted by the Irish Land Commission. The Department hope to conclude arrangements at an early date for the payment of compensation to those concerned, after which the Department will take up possession of the lands and immediately begin planting operations thereon.

Will the Minister say if any planting will be done this season?

Mr. Hogan

I believe so.
