Vol. 40 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Turbary in Galway.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he is aware that tenants on the Joyce estate, Courgary, Menlough, County Galway, are now in want of turbary, and will he state what steps are being taken by his Department in the matter; and further, if he is aware that there is plenty of turbary in the Bellew estate, not yet taken over by his Department, convenient to those people, and which the owner is prepared to sell.

The Land Commission have received representations regarding the need for turbary of the tenants on the Joyce estate, and the matter is at present the subject of investigation.
