Vol. 40 No. 13

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Division of Sheffield Estate, Clifden.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he will state when the Land Commission intend dividing the lands on the Sheffield estate, Fahy, Clifden, County Galway, amongst the tenants, in view of the grave hardships inflicted on those people with small patches of land here and there, which cannot be fenced.

The lands of Fahy to which the Deputy refers are on the Suffield estate, Co. Galway, record No. S. 2,843.

The question of the rearrangement of the holdings on this estate has been noted for investigation and will be dealt with before the vesting of the holdings in the tenants.
