Vol. 40 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Acquisition of Sligo Lands.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he can state whether the Land Commission have acquired the Arcumber Lands (estate of Basil Phibbs), Riverstown, County Sligo, for distribution amongst the landless and uneconomic holders of that district; and, if not, is it their intention to acquire same; and, if so, can he state when these lands will be available for sub-division.

The offer made by the Land Commission for the lands of Arcumber has not been accepted by the owner. The lands have been purchased under the Land Purchase Acts and it has been decided not to proceed further in the matter.
