Vol. 40 No. 19

Order of Business.

I propose to take items 3, 4, 5, 6 and 8.

Could the President give us an indication of the business of the House for to-morrow?

I do not know that I can give an indication of to-morrow's business until I see what will happen with the items to be taken to-day.

Is it intended to take No. 9; the Bill has only been circulated this morning?

Is there objection to taking No. 9?

The Bill has only been circulated this morning.

Domhnall O Buachalla

Is mian liom ceist do chur ar an Aire Tionnscail agus Tráchtála, ach ón uair is ná fuil sí i láthair cuirfe mé an cheist ar an Uachtarán.

Cad é an cheist é.

The question is: As it was not in order for a representative of the Irish Press to travel on the Drumm train is it in order for an Irish Press representative to be allowed into the Gallery of the Dáil?

The President does not deal with that.

I want to ask the President to set aside some Government time either this evening or to-morrow evening for the purpose of enabling the Hospitals Trust No. 3 Bill to pass through all its stages before the House adjourns for the Christmas Recess.

Would not that point arise when the Bill is reported from Committee?

Did I understand the President to say that number 9 would be taken to-morrow? The Bill was only in the hands of Deputies this morning.

Objection was already taken to it by Deputy Lemass, but when Deputies read it they will see that it is really a very simple Bill.

Has the Minister any intention of introducing the Shannon Fisheries Bill? It is a Bill that would not be very contentious. There is a good deal of distress consequent on the electricity development on the Shannon and the authorities have promised it for the last eighteen months.

My intentions, like those of the Deputy, are always of the best, but they are sometimes interfered with.

Mr. Hogan

They do not materialise very often.

Would the President say when it is proposed to circulate the Railway (Miscellaneous) Bill?

I would like to say, much earlier than the Deputy anticipates.

Deputies were promised that they would have the Bill in their hands this morning.

Perhaps before the week is out.

At any rate it is not intended to take it this week.

I do not think so.

It is proposed not to interrupt Public Business at 9 o'clock to take Private Business.
