asked the Minister for Finance whether a subscription of £5 was received towards the Dáil Eireann Loan from Mrs. Coady, Innistiogue, Co. Kilkenny, now living at Carcur, Wexford, and whether he can now authorise repayment of this loan.

It is presumed that the Deputy's question refers to an application by Mrs. Anastasia Mary Cody, of 3 Farnogue Terrace, Wexford, for repayment in respect of a sum of £5 stated to have been subscribed by her to the Dáil Eireann (Internal) Loan, 1919-20.
The particulars furnished by Mrs. Cody in connection with her application for repayment do not agree with those relating to an entry in the records in my Department. Moreover, she has not furnished any receipt or other supporting evidence. Further inquiries in the matter are, however, being made.
