Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Blakeny Lands (Tipperary).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he is aware that the short lease of the non-residential holding of about 520 acres at Loughloher, Cahir, Co. Tipperary, is almost up, and if he will take steps in accordance with the needs of the uneconomic holders of the district and the local demand, to have these lands of Mrs. McCraith Blakeny acquired and divided; and if he is further aware that this land is held at 2s. 6d. per acre, is suitable for division, and is land from which the ancestors of present local claimants were evicted.

The Land Commission have under consideration the question of the acquisition of the lands of Loughlohery.
