Vol. 40 No. 22

Deputy's Explanation.

If I am in order, I would like to state that during the debate on the Fifth Stage of the Housing Bill on 27th November, I made a statement with reference to certain remarks of the President as having regard to my Faith. I find since, on consulting the records, that my statement was based on a misinterpretation of the President's remarks and I, therefore, desire to say that I am satisfied that no such inference as I drew was warranted or intended by the President.

I was puzzled by what the Deputy said on November 27th, but I am glad, sir, that the matter is now satisfactorily settled.
