Vol. 40 No. 24

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Rineen Slip (Kerry).

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he is aware that the slip at Rineen, Co. Kerry, is in danger of being completely demolished; and, if so, whether he will take any steps to preserve it.

I have drawn the attention of the Kerry County Council to the necessity for repairing this work. The slip was built by that Council in 1928, and the State provided four-fifths of the cost.

Mr. O'Reilly

If the local authority does not perform its duty in that respect what will your Department do?

I am sure the local authority will not evade its responsibility in an important matter like that.

Mr. O'Reilly

They have done it so far.
