Vol. 40 No. 24

Adjournment Debate.

What is the arrangement for the adjournment debate?

At the conclusion of the business the adjournment will be moved until 10th February.

Yes, and then we adjourn after two hours.

No, there is no agreement in that regard.

The time suggested was, in fact, two and a half hours.

Under what order of the House do you, sir, limit the period of the adjournment debate?

I have not limited it. I have not done anything about it. It is in the hands of the House.

Does the Deputy want more time?

10.30 p.m. is the time for adjournment.

To discuss it until 10.30?

If necessary.

We have an awful lot to say.

While Minister have been studying this pamphlet people have been thinking that there is a lot to be said which Ministers have forgotten in the meantime.

All I know is that a hope has been expressed that it will be possible to conclude the debate in two and a half hours.

Are you aware that the House has not agreed to limit it to two and a half hours?

The Ceann Comhairle is aware of what he said-that a hope has been expressed.
