asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce whether in view of the withdrawal of the orders giving preference to demobilised officers and men of the National Army in regard to (a) the execution of contracts for Departments of State; (b) the filling of situations in the Public Service; (c) the filling of vacancies in the subordinate staffs of Departments and (d) the execution of contracts carried out by local authorities with the aid of State grants he will state what action he has taken or proposes to take to secure employment for ex-members of the Defence Forces of Saorstát Eireann?
