Vol. 41 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Legislation to Control Industry.

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if in view of his statements in the Dáil that it is proposed to introduce proposals for legislation to control the organisation of industry in the country, he will state when such proposals will be introduced and if at this stage he can state what are to be the conditions under which British or foreign countries will be allowed to set up new works in the country and in particular what proportion of Irish capital shall be sunk in the new works.

I hope to be in a position to introduce this Bill within the next fortnight. With regard to the second part of the question, I should prefer to await the introduction of the Bill before offering the Dáil a detailed exposition of its provisions.
