Vol. 42 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Importation of Derry Meat.

asked the Minister for Finance whether in view of the fact that the beef and mutton sold in Derry are for the most part obtained from cattle and sheep bred in the Saorstát, he will arrange that the Revenue Authorities will allow Saorstát residents to import from that city beef and mutton for the use of their households free of duty.

Consideration will be given to the question of exempting from duty small quantities of meat imported for their own use by householders in Saorstát Eireann who reside in the neighbourhood of the land frontier.
