Vol. 44 No. 2

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cement Factory

asked the Minister for Industry and Commerce if he is in a position to state how far negotiations for the establishment of a cement factory have progressed, and if the position has been prejudiced by the provisions of the Control of Manufactures Bill, 1932?

The negotiations for the establishment of a cement factory or factories have not yet reached a stage when I consider I can make public any useful information on the subject. The answer to the second part of the question is in the negative.

Arising out of the Minister's reply, without giving us any details could he tell us the nationality of the group with whom he is in negotiation?

I will refer the Deputy to my answer. I do not think I could make public at this stage any information that would be useful.
