Vol. 44 No. 5

In Committee on Finance. - Vote No. 31—Remuneration for Cost of Management of Government Stocks.

I move:

Go ndeontar suim ná raghaidh thar £50 chun slánuithe na suime is gá chun íochta an Mhuirir a thiocfaidh chun beith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1933, chun Luach Saothair ar chostas Bhainistí Stoc Rialtais is le Saorstát Eireann.

That a sum not exceeding £50 be granted to complete the sum necessary to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1933, for the Remuneration for cost of Management of Government Stocks of Saorstát Eireann.

There is an increase of £1,052, from £12,698 to £13,750. This is a highly technical service and a highly-technical subject, and unless Deputy Good would like to suggest some particularly specific way in which the specific items of looking after our stock could be reduced, I do not know anything we can say until the whole matter is reviewed as part of the general consideration of the overhauling.

Vote put and agreed to.
