Vol. 44 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - The Irish Lights Service.

asked the Minister for External Affairs if he will state what progress, if any, has been made towards a settlement of the difficulties which arose in connection with the transfer of the Irish Lights Service.

The question of the future administration of Irish Lights has been under consideration by the Government. I hope to be able to make a statement on the matter later in the session.

May I ask has any progress been made towards a settlement?

Is the President aware that on the 27th April the Minister for Industry and Commerce in his reply said "The Government is considering the stage which has already been reached in the negotiations to be resumed in due course." Have they been resumed?

They have not.
