Vol. 44 No. 7

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Cheese-Making Machinery.

asked the Minister for Agriculture whether any loans have been granted to creameries for the purchase of cheese-making machinery, and, if so, if he will state the creameries, the amount and terms of each such loan.

One loan of the nature referred to has been approved, i.e. a loan of £6,000 to Mitchelstown Cooperative Agricultural Society, Ltd. The amount is repayable in twenty half-yearly instalments free of interest; but interest at the rate of three per cent. per annum is to be paid on the amount of any instalment not paid by the Society within four weeks of the due date.
