Vol. 45 No. 5

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mail Delivery in Crosshaven and Carrigaline.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs if he will arrange a mid-day delivery of mails in Crosshaven and Carrigaline, Co. Cork, and if it would be possible to make a reduction in the charges for telephone calls between the exchanges in these places and Cork City.

I am making inquiry as regards the question of affording a mid-day delivery at Crosshaven and Carrigaline, and will communicate with the Deputy as soon as a decision is arrived at.

As regards the charges for telephone calls exchanged between the places mentioned and Cork, these are in accordance with the standard scale for general application throughout the country and I regret a reduction is not feasible by reason of the loss of revenue which would arise.
