Vol. 45 No. 6

Bourn Vincent Memorial Park Bill, 1932—First Stage.

I ask leave to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to accept the gift of the Muckross Estate in the County Kerry to the nation as a national park and for that purpose to authorise such steps as shall be necessary for the legal completion of such gift in accordance with the terms thereof, to authorise the purchase from the donor of the said estate of certain land and chattels, and to make all such provision as may be necessary for the preservation, maintenance, management and use of all property so donated or purchased. We would like to get all the remaining Stages through to-morrow?

When will the Bill be circulated?

It will probably be ready this afternoon.

To-morrow morning, at the latest, the Bill will be in the hands of Deputies.

Second Reading Stage is the only Stage down for to-morrow?

The Vice-President said that he would like to get all Stages to-morrow.

Can that not be raised to-morrow when we have seen the Bill?

As a matter of fact, I think that a copy of the Bill is already in the hands of the Opposition.

A copy of the Bill was given to me at five minutes to twelve to-day. I do not know whether it is the Bill or not. It is not in Bill form. It is in typescript.

The Deputy knows what it is.

Second Stage ordered for Wednesday, 7th December.
