I move for leave to introduce the Public Hospitals Bill, 1932. This is an Act for the granting of powers to enable funds to be raised by means of sweepstakes and drawings of prizes for the benefit of hospitals, homes, sanatoria, and nursing organisations, and to provide for the disposal and application of the funds so raised and also to make provision for the general improvement and co-ordination of the facilities made available to the public by such institutions and organisations as aforesaid, and to provide for divers matters connected therewith and to make such amendments of the law as may be necessary.
