Vol. 45 No. 7

In Committee on Finance. - Vote 65—Army Pensions.

I move:—

Go ndeontar suim bhreise ná raghaidh thar £25,000 chun íoctha an Mhuirir a thiocfaidh chun bheith iníoctha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1933, chun Pinsean Créachta agus Mí-ábaltachta, Pinsean Breise agus Pinsean Fear Pósta, Liúntaisí agus Aiscí (Uimh. 26 de 1923 agus Uimh. 12 de 1927 agus Acht ar bith a rithfear sa tSiosón so chun na nAcht san do leasú agus do leathnú) agus chun Síntiúsí agus costaisí iolardha ina dtaobh san agus chun Pinsean Seirbhíse Mileata d'íoc (Uimh. 48 de 1924).

That a supplementary sum not exceeding £25,000 be granted to defray the Charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending on the 31st day of March, 1933, for Wound and Disability Pensions, further Pensions and Married Pensions, Allowances and Gratuities (No. 26 of 1923 and No. 12 of 1927 and any Act passed in the present Session amending and extending those Acts) and for sundry contributions and expenses in respect thereof and to pay Military Service Pensions (No. 48 of 1924).

In connection with this I want to correct a mistake. When Deputy Blythe asked me how much was involved, I said £1,800. What I had in mind then was the expenditure involved in connection with a medical board to be set up under the Bill. It amounts to £1,790.

Question put and agreed to.
Resolution reported and agreed to.
