Vol. 46 No. 9

Central Fund Bill, 1933—Committee And Final Stages.

Bill put through Committee and reported without amendment.
Question—"That the Bill be received for final consideration"—put and agreed to.
Question proposed: "That the Bill do now pass."

I merely want to say this: In view of the Minister's admission that the Ministry does not stand for the depression of wages, will he consider the inadvisability of allowing a circular to remain in existence which, on behalf of the Government, states that the rate of wages should, if possible, be lower than the rate paid to agricultural labourers?

I will reconsider the terms of the circular.

Question put and agreed to.
Bill certified a Money Bill and ordered to be sent to the Seanad.
