Vol. 46 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Bounties on Shell-Fish.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if it is his intention to pay a bounty on the exportation of lobsters and shell-fish to help the people along the coast who, by reason of the British tariffs on these articles, have been deprived of their livelihood.

The lobster season does not usually begin before May, consequently nobody has been deprived of his livelihood. As I have already informed the Deputy and the other members of the deputation (viz. Deputies Corish and Kehoe) which waited upon me last week, the matter is being kept under close observation.
