Vol. 46 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Skibbereen Blind Pension Appeals.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that a large number of cases in which appeals have been lodged by Pensions Officers against awards made by the Skibbereen Urban and Rural Pension Sub-Committees in respect of claims for blind pensions are awaiting his decision; and if he will take steps at the earliest available opportunity to decide these appeals.

The cases in this area form portion of the undecided cases which are general in their distribution throughout the Saorstát. The pressure of appeals is at present heavy, but there will be no unnecessary delay in dealing with outstanding cases.
