Vol. 46 No. 15

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Report on Reduction of Salaries.

asked the Minister for Finance whether the Report of the Committee set up to inquire into and report on the question of temporary reductions in the pay of public servants together with the minutes of the evidence taken before or memoranda submitted to the Committee will be made available to Deputies.

Is the President aware that during the debate on the Public Services (Temporary Economies) Bill the Minister for Finance said that he received three reports on this matter? If that is so, why are the reports not submitted to Deputies?

I am not aware that the Minister made that reference.

I did not catch the end of the Deputy's question.

The Minister stated that he had received three reports. If the reports are available, why have they not been submitted to Deputies?

I do not know if the Minister made that statement, but it is quite clear here that it is not intended to give the substance of these reports to the House.
