Vol. 47 No. 4

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Gaeltacht Housing—Donegal Applications.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries if he will state how many applications for (1) grants, (2) loans, under the Gaeltacht Housing Schemes from County Donegal which have been reported on by the Housing Board's Inspectors as eligible for approval cannot be approved owing to there being no funds available for the purposes of the Housing (Gaeltacht) Acts.

There are 269 applications from County Donegal for grants and loans under the Housing (Gaeltacht) Acts for the erection of houses and 71 applications for the erection of outbuildings which have been investigated and reported upon and are awaiting adjudication when further funds are available.

Could the Parliamentary Secretary say if he anticipates that sufficient money will be made available to complete these works and put others in hand during the current financial year?

If the Deputy will give me notice of that I shall have the matter investigated.

I shall have pleasure in doing that.
