Vol. 47 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Distribution of Ward Estate, Crossboyne, Mayo.

asked the Minister for Lands and Fisheries whether he is aware that acute congestion exists in the townlands of Kilscoghagh, on the Ward Estate, Crossboyne, County Mayo, and if he will state what steps, if any, are being taken to resume the Gortanairen Farm, which was retained by the Land Commission in 1924 for relief of congestion.

The question of the resumption of portion of the holding of Mark Mellet in the townlands of Gortanierin and Kilscohagh for the purpose of relieving congestion in the vicinity is at present under consideration by the Land Commission, and will be dealt with as soon as circumstances permit.
