Vol. 48 No. 1

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Limerick Housing Scheme.

asked the Minister for Defence if he is aware that the delay in handing over the Island Field, Limerick, to the Limerick Corporation is holding up a housing scheme of 260 houses, and if he will take steps to expedite the transfer to the Corporation to enable them to proceed with the scheme.

The offer to hand over the field in question was conditional on the Limerick Corporation providing the Department of Defence with a suitable alternative site for a rifle range. The Corporation has not yet been able to provide such a site, and until it does so the transfer cannot take place.
