Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Mechanically-Propelled Vehicle Tax.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state the total amount of the tax paid for the financial years 1931-1932 and 1932-1933 in respect of mechanically-propelled vehicles in the County of Cork and how much of same has been allocated to the maintenance and improvement of roads in said county.

The total amounts paid in respect of motor licence duty for these years are as follows: —

Cork County (excluding Cork County Borough).

In addition a sum of £61,030 for road improvement was allocated to the county out of the £1,000,000 road (relief) grant, 1932-33.
