Vol. 48 No. 6

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Findings of Cottage Tenants' Commission.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he will state when it is intended to authorise publication of the findings of the Cottage Tenants' Commission and whether the Government will be in a position to announce a decision arising from its recommendations before the summer adjournment of the Dáil.

The report is at present with the printers and should be ready for publication in about a fortnight's time. The recommendations are receiving consideration.

Will the Parliamentary Secretary say whether his colleagues in the Cabinet will be able to make an announcement as to the policy of the Government arising out of these recommendations?

It is unlikely that it will be possible to give the report the necessary detailed examination that would enable the Government to make any announcement of policy in this matter within the next few weeks— before the Summer Session concludes.
