Vol. 48 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Transferred Officer's Claim to Retire.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what is the cause of the delay in referring to the Davitt Compensation Board, set up in pursuance of the Civil Service (Transferred Officers) Act, 1929, a claim for permissive retirement made by Mr. Lisney, a transferred officer, whose salary has been reduced.

Under the Act referred to, the first step required is a decision by the Minister for Finance whether he will admit the claim for retirement. This is at present under consideration and a decision will be given as soon as practicable. If the Minister disputes the claim, it will be referred to the Compensation Board for determination.
