Vol. 48 No. 19

Land Bond Bill, 1933—First Stage.

I move:—

That leave be given to introduce a Bill entitled an Act to make provision in relation to the payment of certain purchase money and the making of certain advances under the Land Act, 1923, and subsequent Land Purchase Acts by means of an issue of bonds, and in relation to the creation, issue, and redemption of bonds for that purpose, and in relation to other matters connected with the matters aforesaid, and to amend in certain respects the law relating to land purchase finance.

Will the Minister say when the Bill will be circulated?

I hope that Deputies will have it by Monday.

When is it proposed to take the Second Stage?

This day week.

Can the Minister say when it is proposed to resume the discussion on the Land Bill?

I understood the arrangement was that it was to be resumed on 25th July.

Oh, no; that is the date fixed for the Committee Stage.

The arrangement is for Tuesday next.

Will the Minister say what is the price at which it is proposed to issue the bonds?

I am afraid the Deputy will have to wait until he sees the Bill.

Leave to introduce granted.
