In Committee on Finance. - Land Bill, 1933—Money Resolution.

I move:—

Chun críche Achta ar bith a rithfear sa tSiosón so chun an dlí, an airgeadais, agus an chleachta bhaineas le ceannach talmhan do leasú go generálta, agus go sonnrách chun socruithe bhreise agus fheabhasa do dhéanamh chun feidhmeanna Coimisinéirí breithiúntais agus tuaithe Choimisiúin na Talmhan d'fheidhmiú agus chun socruithe do dhéanamh chun blianachtaí ceannaigh agus íocaíochtaí bliantúla áirithe eile d'athscrúdú agus chun fiacha go n-ús do dhéanamh de riaráiste an chéanna, agus chun socruithe do dhéanamh i dtaobh nithe eile bhaineas leis na nithe roimhráite, go bhfuil sé oiriúnach a údarú go n-íocfaí amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas.

(1) suimeanna ar bith is gá chun slánuithe do dhéanamh ar easnaimh ar bith i gCiste na mBannaí Talmhan agus sa Chiste Temporáltachtaí Eaglaise de dhruim oibrithe an Achta san; agus

(2) íocaíochtaí ar bith eile íocfaidh agus costaisí ar bith eile fé n-a raghaidh an tAire Tailte agus Iascaigh

agus Coimisiún na Talmhan chun an Achta san do chur i bhfeidhm, agus is íocaiochtaí agus costaisí is gá do réir an Achta san d'íoc amach as airgead a sholáthróidh an tOireachtas.

That for the purpose of any Act of the present Session to amend generally the law, finance and practice relating to Land Purchase, and in particular to make further and better provision for the execution of the functions of the judicial and lay commissioners of the Land Commission, and to provide for the revision of Purchase Annuities and certain other annual payments and for the funding of arrears thereof, and to provide for other matters connected with the matters aforesaid, it is expedient to authorise the payment out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas of

(1) any sums required for making good any deficiencies in the Land Bond Fund and the Church Temporalities Fund arising out of the operation of such Act; and

(2) any other payments made and expenses incurred by the Minister for Lands and Fisheries

and the Land Commission in the execution of such Act, being payments and expenses which are required by such Act to be paid out of moneys provided by the Oireachtas.

In connection with item No. 1 I should like to know from the Minister is it anticipated that any liability will arise in the current financial year by reason of that sub-section?

No. There were two supplementary estimates already passed by the House, and they have made full provision for any deficiency that will arise in this year.

No. 2, then, refers to ordinary administrative expenses?

Yes.
