Vol. 49 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Wages Paid by Carlow Housing Contractor

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that the contractor carrying out the building of 60 houses for the Town Commissioners of Muinebeag is not paying trade union wages on said scheme in accordance with the provisions of the Housing (Financial and Miscellaneous) Provisions Act, 1932, and if he will state what action he proposes to take in the matter.

I am not aware that trade union wages are not being paid in connection with this scheme. If, however, the circumstances are brought officially to the notice of the Department, the matter will be fully investigated
