Vol. 49 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Thurles Pension Claim.

asked the Minister for Local Government and Public Health if he is aware that Lawrence Ryan, Hollyford, Thurles, who is 86 years of age, was granted a pension of 10/- a week by the sub-committee, that the pensions officer has appealed stating that the applicant was only entitled to 5/-, and if, in view of the fact that he is at present in very straitened circumstances the Minister will see that the full pension is granted and that all arrears are paid up without further delay.

The appeal in this case has been determined and the sub-committee informed that the claimant is entitled to a pension at the rate of 8/- per week.
