Vol. 50 No. 1

Prisons Bill, 1933—First Stage.

Leave granted to introduce a Bill "entitled an Act to amend the law relating to the closing of prisons and to the use, control and disposal of prisons which have been closed, and to make provision for other matters connected with the matters aforesaid"—(Minister for Defence, Mr. Aiken).
Bill read the First Time; Second Stage to be taken on Wednesday, November 22nd.

When will the Bill be circulated?

To-morrow, I hope.

The taking of the Bill on Wednesday then is dependent upon the Bill being circulated to-morrow?

If the Bill does not reach them in time Deputies will have an opportunity of objecting to its being taken.
