Vol. 50 No. 3

Ceisteanna.—Questions. Oral Answers. - Advertisement Broadcasts.

asked the Minister for Posts and Telegraphs whether he is aware that the sponsored programmes, broadcast from the Athlone Station, are mainly, if not wholly, advertisements for goods produced outside the Irish Free State and if he has received any representations from Irish producers in reference thereto.

About one half of the regular advertising time is sponsored by an Irish organisation and the other advertisements relate mainly to articles not produced in the Irish Free State.

The reply to the second part of the question is in the negative.
