SECTION 4.

Minister for Justice (Mr. Ruttledge)

I move amendment 1:—

To add at the end of the section a new sub-section as follows:—

(4) The State Lands Act, 1924 (No. 45 of 1924), shall not apply to a prison or part of a prison retained by the Minister under this Act.

This amendment is introduced to get over the difficulty that might arise under the State Lands Act where the lettings are made by the Minister for Finance. Under this Bill they are made by the Minister for Justice, and that is the object of the amendment.
