Leave granted to introduce a Bill entitled "An Act to make provision for the control of imports and for that purpose to authorise the imposition and provide for the enforcement of import quotas, and generally to make provision for matters connected with the matters aforesaid."—(Minister for Industry and Commerce.)
Bill read a First Time; Second Stage fixed for Wednesday, 7th February.
It will be ready by Saturday.
In the event of the Bill not being ready until Saturday, it is not likely to reach country Deputies until Monday or Tuesday. I suppose the Minister will consider an application, in the circumstances, to postpone the Second Reading beyond this day week?
