I move:

Go ndeontar suim bhreise ná raghaidh thar £32,000 chun íochta an Mhuirir a thiocfaidh chun bheith iníocha i rith na bliana dar críoch an 31adh lá de Mhárta, 1934, chun Pinsean Créachta agus Míábaltachta, Pinsean Breise agus Pinsean Fear Pósta, Liúntaisí agus Aiscí (Uimh. 26 de 1923, Uimh. 12 de 1927, agus Uimh. 24 de 1932) agus chun síntiúisí agus costaisí iolardha ina dtaobh san agus chun Pinsean Seirbhíse Mileata d'íoc (Uimh. 48 de 1924), etc.

That a Supplementary sum not exceeding £32,000 be granted to defray the charge which will come in course of payment during the year ending 31st March, 1934, for Wound and Disability Pensions, Further Pensions and Married Pensions, Allowances and Gratuities (No. 26 of 1923, No. 12 of 1927, and No. 24 of 1932), and for sundry contributions and expenses in respect thereof, and to pay Military Service Pensions (No. 48 of 1924) etc.

When the Estimates were introduced last year, it was not anticipated that so many cases would be dealt with before the end of the financial year. This Supplementary Estimate is for an increase of £32,000 on the Vote which the Dáil has already passed. The principal additions are in the case of wound and disease pensions. There is £26,315 additional for pensions and gratuities. For allowances and gratuities to dependents, an additional sum of £10,785 is required. The other items are £15 for wages and salaries; £100 travelling expenses, £150 incidental expenses. The details are: it was estimated that there would be 99 wounds and disease pensions; the estimate now is 198. It was estimated that there would be 85 gratuities in wound cases; the estimate now is 49. It was estimated that the allowances to dependents of deceased persons would be 72; the estimate now is 26. The estimate for gratuities to partial dependents was 70; the estimate now is 224.
