Vol. 50 No. 10

Ceistenna-Questions. Oral Answers. - Attack on Co. Galway Hall.

asked the Minister for Justice if he has received any Gárda or other report concerning an attack made on the 5th October, 1933, on the hall, Ballygar, Co. Galway, on the occasion of a Fine Gael meeting; if any investigations were made or are still proceeding regarding this occurrence; and if any arrests or court proceedings have been made or taken or are likely to be made or taken.

I have received a report upon the matter referred to in the question. The date was, however, the 6th, not the 5th of October, 1933, and the attack consisted of the firing of two stones resulting in the breaking of a pane of glass. This appears to have been an isolated incident; there was no crowd outside the hall. The police have not so far been able to make any person amenable for the offence.
