No lands have been acquired for State forestry purposes in County Donegal since January, 1932. A number of offers to sell lands in the county are, however, at present under consideration. In the Ballybofey district an area of land of sufficient size for the formation of a small forest unit has been offered and steps are being taken for its acquisition.
