I desire to acquaint the Dáil that the following letter has been received from the Secretary to the Department of External Affairs:—

"Clerk of the Dáil.

I am directed by the Minister for External Affairs to state that he has been requested by the American Chargé d'Affaires to convey to the Ceann Comhairle, and to the members of Dáil Eireann, an expression of the deep appreciation of the President and Government of the United States of the courteous resolution of sympathy which was passed by the Dáil on the 11th April, 1934, following the death of the American Minister."

I will have the letter entered in the Journal of the Dáil.
