Vol. 51 No. 17

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - Working of Unemployment Assistance Act.

asked the Minister for Finance if he will state what arrangements have been made for the recruitment of civilian staff for the work of investigating the means of applicants for certificates of qualification and benefit under the Unemployment Assistance Act, 1933.

The Revenue Commissioners have been authorised to proceed, through the Civil Service Commissioners, with the arrangements for recruitment of civilian staff for the service referred to. Details of the conditions on which the Commissioners will be asked to recruit the staff are being completed and it is hoped that applications from candidates will very shortly be invited by public advertisement.
