Vol. 53 No. 10

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - The Fisheries Association.

asked the Minister for Agriculture if he is aware that certain fishermen at Passage East, County Waterford, who are members of the Fisheries Association, are experiencing great difficulty in disposing of their fish as the association has refused to handle it; and if he will cause enquiries to be made in the matter with a view to putting things on a proper footing.

Dr. Ryan

Particulars of the specific difficulties referred to in this question are not within my knowledge. I am, however, assured by the Committee of the Sea Fisheries Association that this body are willing and anxious to assist every member in disposing of his catches of seafish provided he complies with the very reasonable regulations applicable to such transactions.
