Vol. 53 No. 11

Ceisteanna—Questions. Oral Answers. - County Cork Attack.

asked the Minister for Justice if he is aware that, on June 26th an attack was made on a party of young men, supporters of Fine Gael, while on their way from the Crossbarry polling booth to their respective homes; and that, as a result of the attack, James Ryan, of Ballymountain, County Cork, was wounded by gun shot, whether any, and if so, what steps have been taken to trace the assailants.

Police inquiries are at present proceeding in this case. In the meantime I am not prepared to make any statement upon the matter.
